Watch Bill Oddie in Snares Uncovered

An illegal snare was found hidden in undergrowth by a seven-year-old boy out walking with his grandparents and dogs.

The home-made snare was set in Castleroe Forest, outside Coleraine. It was made from a length of rounded wire and part of it was covered with blue tape.

The family who found the snare removed it and contacted the police.

One grandparent had said dogs had gone missing in the forest in the past.
